Defibrillators

A defibrillator is a device that delivers a therapeutic dose of electrical energy to a person’s heart when their life is threatened by an arrhythmia. We supply both Automatic defibrillators and Semi-automatic defibrillators that can help to treat sudden cardiac arrests.

The defibrillators we have available are suitable for use by the lay person with minimal training as well as professional personnel. It is recommended that all employees in the workplace should have access to a defibrillator within 2 minutes of their workstation. We offer a variety of brands and models to suit different environments and locations.

First Aid Room

Employers have a duty to provide first-aid equipment at all places of work where working conditions require it. Depending on the size or specific hazards (or both) of the place of work, trained occupational first-aiders must also be provided. Apart from some exceptions first-aid rooms must be provided where appropriate.

Information must be provided to employees or safety representatives (or both) as regards the first-aid facilities and arrangements in place.

Patient Immobilisation

Stretchers
A stretcher is an apparatus used for moving patients who require medical care. A basic type (cot or litter) must be carried by two or more people. A wheeled stretcher (known as a gurney, trolley, bed or cart) is often equipped with variable height frames, wheels, tracks, or skids.

Stretchers are primarily used in acute out-of-hospital care situations by emergency medical services (EMS), military, and search and rescue personnel.

Sccops
The scoop stretcher is a device used specifically for moving injured people. It is most frequently used to lift people who may have a spinal cord injury from the ground, either due to unconsciousness or in order to maintain stability in the case of trauma.

A scoop stretcher has a structure that can be split vertically into two parts, with shaped 'blades' towards the centre which can be brought together underneath a patient. The two halves are placed separately either side of the patient, and then brought together until securing clips at the top and bottom both engage.
